Last night, I said to Nicole, "So is this what winter's like?" She said yes.
I was talking about being bored, which I am. The cold really inhibits outdoor activity. Besides, there's not much in Oakville I want to do anyway. Really nothing. Toronto is too far to go there with any regularity, too. So, as I said, I'm bored.
Ironically, being bored means having too much time on your hands, yet I neglect things I should keep up with like this blog. I'm counting on this boredom lifting once we've moved to Toronto in two weeks. It's got to! Meanwhile, I continue neglecting things like haircuts and shaving. Krewe du Vieux was last Saturday - made me really miss you guys. Got to see Tony around Christmas time - also made me miss you guys. King Arthur rolls on Sunday - boy will I really, really miss you guys then. Might be going to Mimi's tonight - any guesses what it might make me do? Thanks for being such an integral part of my life. ... Miss you guys.

Yeah, I was aware of the rolling of Krewe du Vieux, and it really made me miss everyone. For me, that's what Mardi Gras is all about, making time to spend with friends.

It's definitely cold, but my complaint has more to do with our circumstances (see my next post). Once we're ensconced in Toronto, we shall be going out.
The cold does prevent me from running, which I miss.
